By partnering with the Society of Women Engineers and iRelaunch, Aerospace has created a program called Re-Entry, This 3-month program is designed for people who have been away from work for two years or more and are looking to re-enter the workforce full-time. Launching again in Fall 2024, Aerospace will provide training, mentorship and networking opportunities to support skilled professionals get back to doing what they love.
Our hiring teams are typically looking for candidates with prior professional experience in:
- Data Science – Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Digital Ecosystems, Data Fusion, Kubernetes, etc.
- Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems – AI, polymaths and other Data scientists along with control theory and software assurance
- Cybersecurity
- Systems Engineering
- Hardware/Embedded Engineering
- Digital Engineering
- Agile Software Developers
- Advanced Manufacturing – Industrial Engineers, Additive manufacturing and In-space assembly/manufacturing
- Nuclear – Nuclear physicists, space nuclear power and propulsion
- Human spaceflight – experts on challenges and systems unique to crewed landers, robotic assembly in orbit, human space systems
The Re-Entry cohort requires the ability to work in a hybrid work model with a partial onsite schedule at one of our locations: El Segundo, CA; Chantilly, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; or Albuquerque, NM.
To be considered for the Re-Entry program, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications:
- Current career break of two or more years (must be evident on resume)
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of four years of experience relevant to a science, math, engineering or technology field
- Ability to commit to a 3-month, full-time position beginning Sept/Oct. 2024
- Desire to be a full-time Aerospace employee at the end of the program
- Preferably have held a security clearance, but not required. The Aerospace Corp. does require all employees have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$103,285 – $168,019 – $232,752
Pay Basis: Annual
