Position Summary

Job Details:
• Subject matter expert for Huron’s expense audit process. Oversees the expense audit team and processes.
• Reports to Expense Audit Manager in India.
• Manages and coaches expense audit team members based on the Audit findings.
• Should be able to create timelines for the time sensitive deliverable.
• Should be well versed with the ERP and should be able to perform any testing necessary.
• Generate detailed and insightful reports on expense trends, patterns, and outliers.
• Collaborate with finance and management teams to provide actionable insights based on audit findings.
• Working with Management and process SMEs to identify process improvement opportunities and data strategies.
• Stay up to date with company expense policies and ensure all audits are conducted in accordance with established guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for updates or revisions to expense policies based on audit findings and industry best practices
• Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on facts and trends.
• Creates and reports metrics on expense report volume, team SLAs, and reports triggering audit rules
• He/She will often need to provide recommendations to streamline processes and improve data management techniques.
• Raises issues and concerns that are impacting accuracy, timeliness, and customer service. Suggests solutions to improve.
• Ensure compliance in accordance with internal and external audit requirements, Huron’s expense policies, and assists with departmental audit requests.
• Work closely with Expense Audit Manager, AP Manager on process improvements.
• Defines and document processes for the expense audit team.
• Works within defined processes but also brings recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborates and manages work with team members across all global locations (Bangalore and US).
• Is the knowledge and subject matter expert for Huron’s expense system (Workday). Performs testing for enhancement requests, updates, and issues. Performs training for team members. Works with the team to create and maintain end user training materials and programs for the expense audit process.
• Expertise in handling reports, credit card transactions, quality assurance of process, service desk tickets for expenses, client customer service.
• Run analytic reports out of Accounting and Expense Report software to enhance the Expense Review process.
• Ideas that will make the process robust policy or system wise.
• Effectively communicate audit results and analysis to management, highlighting key insights and potential areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes or enhancements to expense reporting processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of audit processes, findings, and resolutions.
• Should be extremely approachable to the team and stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong in all areas of the expense audit process.
• Effective time & prioritization management.
• 6-8 years of relevant professional experience in expense audit, performing audits, creating reports, and performing analysis
• Problem solving skills
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Good understanding of the end-to-end expense process and standard expense audit rules.
• Advanced English skills, including excellent business writing skills and an ability to compose grammatically correct, concise, and accurate responses.
• Ability to handle complex customer issues. Able to work with and resolve issues with individuals at all levels of the company.
• Strong attention to detail. Interest in accomplishing goals and exceeding expectations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both internal and external customers.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability create and track team metrics and performance.
• Experience working in a high paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional degree such as B. Com, M.B.A., Accounting Background
• Workday Experience is a strongly preferred.
