Trust and Safety Product Specialist
Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, research, risk and fraud investigation.
- Experience with SQL or Python.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Operations/Management Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant fields.
- Experience in Trust and Safety teams including investigation, analysis or operations.
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) or applied AI.
- Experience designing or troubleshooting tools and features for users.
- Ability to mine and analyze large data sets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. As a Product Specialist, you will promote trust in Google and ensure user safety on this team. Your main focus is developing capabilities, tools, and Artificial intelligence for fighting and detecting abuse on our platforms. You will understand the user’s point of view and are passionate about using your Business and Technical acumen to protect our users. You will work globally and cross-functionally with Google developers and Product Managers to navigate challenging online safety situations and manage abuse and fraud issues at scale on Products.
In this role, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Design, test, and deploy Trust and Safety capabilities and investigation tools. Collaborate closely with engineering to deliver scaled solutions for Trust and Safety users.
- Operationalize new product and Tool launches to support the scaling of Trust and Safety user protection, including understanding AI/Large Language Models can be applied to scale our abuse fighting efforts.
- Maintain up-to-date project reports, track issues and provide stakeholders with timely reports and other information derived from program data. Be responsible for the life-cycle of project deliverables.
- Coordinate, collaborate and influence across functions and teams within Trust and Safety. Prioritize and manage projects and deliverables effectively, and quickly adapt projects to changing processes and requirements. Advocate and represent Trust and Safety equities with stakeholder groups.
- Resolve complex product and process issues for multi stakeholder groups with tight timelines.
