USSOCOM Data Scientist (Mid-Level)

Athenix Special Missions (ASM) is seeking a qualified Data Scientist (Entry-Level) to provide support to a USSOCOM at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL.

Summary:

Athenix Special Missions is seeking a qualified Entry-level Data Scientist to provide support to a USSOCOM Data Technical Support requirement.  The Entry-Level Data Scientist will have experience applying data science methods to real-world-data problems, formulate and lead guided, multifaceted analytic studies against large volumes of data, preferably in a military environment.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: 

• Support the interpretation and analysis data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific method.
• Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data.
• Support the experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results and provide previously undiscovered solutions to command data challenges.
• Coordinate with Data Engineers to build data environments providing data identified by Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Knowledge Managers, and Intel Analysts. They may assist and support in advising on current policies, processes, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Shall have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in operations research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or math discipline.
• Must be proficient with Java, C++, Python, R, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)

Clearance: Current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access and ACCM read-on

Location: Tampa, Florida

Travel: The performance of this contract will include travel both within and outside of the Continental United States.
