Job Description
The role of Unit Lead Engineer for Data Product & Strategy is to drive and lead the design of a multi-year data and product strategy to create new data products and drive measurable competitive advantage for H&M. This includes definition for the value stream measurement to the repeatable product definition to the assurance of the product quality and delivery.
Responsibilities:

Drive and lead the design & delivery of a multi-year data and product strategy to create new data products and drive measurable competitive advantage for H&M. Determine the investments necessary in terms of people and technology to achieve these objectives

Explore data engineering, data science and AI developments and translate these to the data strategy to keep H&M on the cutting edge of data optimization.

Orchestrate all data efforts within IT and the business and align the business to the IT agenda aligned with new capabilities and methods.

Promote identification of new internal and external data assets; approve selection and integration

Explore the ecosystem (internal, external) and inject new insights for data into IT and the business and use specific designed used cases and lead the sharing of research findings broadly within H&M.

Drive and articulate the broader need of data engineering and data science and aligned re-usable and scalable tooling for implementations; deploy world-class data and AI capabilities

Advise business leadership team on data and AI opportunities to utilize and to collaborate, thus shaping H&M data story and collaborate with business leaders develop a consolidated data portfolio and projects aligned with overall IT and H&M strategic roadmaps and with a strong focus on scaling up projects.

Responsible for architecting and institutionalizing modern data governance policies, and for leading the execution of a range of data governance activities to manage and protect the company’s data assets in the enterprise data office.

The role will be accountable to lead and provide direction in the following areas for Enterprise data: data governance strategy and operations, data standards development and management, data catalog capability, data quality management, data policy, and compliance.

Formal staff responsibility, including salary review, performance dialogues and support in individual development plans and competence needs.
Qualifications

Demonstrated success in the areas of IT Business Partnership & Relationship Management, Value Realization, IT Vendor Management/Governance

Spends time identifying all stakeholders necessary and meets or connects with all of them, neglecting no one to shape a collective consensus.

Proven track record of driving change in processes and organizations, while maintaining working relationships with key business customers.

Versed in Risk management possessing ability to identify, analyze, track, manage and resolve risks issues that impact project

Broad technology skills in data, AI/ML and ability to translate knowledge into solutions which transform the customer’s experience.

Experience socializing and serving as a liaison between the AIAD and business partners to demonstrate the value proposition of the service delivery framework to leadership

Leadership (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change)

Experience of designing, and evaluating organizational transformations and delivering large scale change that adds value from data and information
