We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied working student occupation in the area of AI based Multi-modal Perception and Learning for Automotive Health.

 

What awaits you?

  • In your new role you contribute to the development of the next generation of intelligent, multi-modal, interactive vehicles.
  • You collaborate with a highly specialized, international team of AI/ML and robotics scientists and engineers.
  • Furthermore, you contribute to applied research and pre-development projects within the BMW Group.
  • The work will be carried out at BMW Embodied AI & Robotic Research, RoboTac Lab, Technology Group, BMW Group Center of Invention in Munich, Germany.

 

What should you bring along? 

  • University degree in electrical/control engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a comparable course of study or a comparable qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine leaning, information theory, computer vision, robotics, robot learning, autonomous system with very good analytical thinking and error analysis skills required.
  • Extensive practical experience with different sensory devices (Visual and Tactile Sensors, EMG, LIDAR, RADAR, …), robotics systems (ROS), motion capturing systems.
  • Robust knowledge in scripting languages (e.g. Python, C++) would be required.
  • Experience in developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices would be required.
