With over 2000 users, a lean but powerful team, and big ambitions, we’re looking for a VP of Engineering(similar to a CTO) to scale our technology, lead product delivery, and help shape the future of logistics tech.
– Role Overview
As VP of Engineering, you will lead our engineering organization and own the architectural vision and delivery of mission-critical logistics systems — including Transportation Management (TMS) and Warehouse Management (WMS) platforms. You’ll report directly to the CEO and collaborate with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to execute our roadmap at startup speed.
– What You’ll Do
- Lead and grow a high-performance engineering team (internal and external).
- Architect and scale robust, secure, and scalable logistics SaaS platforms (TMS/WMS).
- Oversee all phases of software development: discovery, design, execution, deployment, and iteration.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to align technology initiatives with market needs.
- Champion agile development, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
- Own technical hiring, vendor selection, and technology stack decisions.
- Prepare for growth at scale: API integrations, multi-tenant infrastructure, data pipelines, and uptime SLAs.
- Contribute strategically as a member of the executive team.
– What We’re Looking For
Required Experience:
- 8+ years of full-stack software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (VP, Head of Engineering, or CTO).
- Proven experience in early-stage or growth-stage startups .
- Built or led development of freight tech platforms — TMS, WMS, load boards, marketplace logistics tools, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of freight brokerage, trucking, and warehousing operations.
- Hands-on experience with modern web technologies (Node.js, Python, React, PostgreSQL, AWS/GCP, etc.)
- Experience managing remote or hybrid engineering teams.
– Bonus Skills:
- API-first architecture and third-party logistics integrations (EDI, API, carrier portals).
- Exposure to machine learning or optimization engines for routing and load matching.
- Experience scaling infrastructure for high transaction volume systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 – $220,000.00 per year
